Technical Committee Set to Deliver a Transformational 6th CEO Retreat in Fort Portal

The Technical Committee behind the 6th Bi-Annual Private Sector CEO Retreat (6th BAR) has officially kicked off preparations for what is poised to be a landmark event in Uganda’s tourism sector.

This year’s retreat is dedicated to the theme “Transforming Uganda into a Preferred Tourism Destination: Enhancing Public-Private Sector Investment in Infrastructure, Preservation of Flora and Fauna, Digitalization, Product Diversification, Marketing, and Tourist Safety.”

Held in partnership with the Office of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife, and Antiquities, and hosted by H.E. the President of Uganda, the retreat will take place in Fort Portal City—a gateway to some of Uganda’s most iconic natural attractions—from 9th to 11th September, 2025. 

The Technical Committee, comprised of public and private sector stakeholders, is working to align the retreat’s agenda with the fourth National Development Plan (NDPIV) and actionable investment priorities that will unlock Uganda’s full tourism potential. This includes infrastructure investment, increased digital presence, capacity building, and destination marketing.

As the Presidential CEO Forum, we are proud to coordinate this high-level engagement, where business leaders and government decision-makers will co-create solutions to position Uganda as a globally competitive tourism destination.
