Site Visit at Motiv Uganda as Preparations Continue for the 6th Bi-Annual Private Sector CEO Retreat
As part of the ongoing preparations for the 6th Bi-Annual Private Sector CEO Retreat (6th BAR)—a landmark event aimed at accelerating Uganda’s tourism growth—the team recently conducted a key site visit to Motiv Uganda in Bugolobi. This visit was focused on selecting a venue for the Creatives Stakeholder Engagement, scheduled for August 22nd, 2025, at Motiv Bugolobi.
The Creatives Stakeholder Engagement seeks to bring together Uganda’s creative talents to foster dialogue, collaboration, and increased visibility within the industry. The event will feature:
- A panel discussion exploring current trends and challenges in the creative sector
- Select performances in fashion, music, comedy, and spoken word
- A cocktail-style networking session designed to facilitate meaningful connections and artistic exchange
During the visit to Motiv Uganda, several potential spaces were evaluated for hosting these activities:
- The Training Room: Primarily a workspace that can be converted into an event area with capacity for up to 100 people. Located at the back end of the People District, it offers a flexible setting for various event needs.
- People District: Featuring upper and lower wings with shops named after places such as Kololo and Nansana, the centrally located upper wing is well-suited for exhibitions and the cocktail networking session.
- Media Lab: The largest venue on the far end of the property, offering privacy and space ideal for hosting event activities.
- The Pulse: A vibrant venue that includes a bar in the back left corner and a stage for performances or other event functions.
This site visit is part of the broader preparations for the 6th BAR, scheduled to take place from September 9th to 11th, 2025, in Fort Portal City, Uganda’s tourism hub.
Stay tuned for more updates as we finalize the event details.
